Ute and Truck Muster Volunteer Terms & Conditions

1. You may be required to obtain a WA Police Check depending on role allocated. The Club is not able to reimburse this cost.


2. Age – Volunteers of all ages are welcome. You must be over 18 years old and have a current          Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate to volunteer in the licenced areas of our Festival and a working with Children Check to assist in children’s activities. An under 18 volunteer must be accompanied by a volunteer parent or guardian.


3. Uniform – Enclosed shoes must be worn at all times. A volunteer shirt may be provided. Volunteer shirts are only to be worn when volunteering.


4. Briefing – All volunteers are required to attend one briefing. A briefing BBQ will be held at 4pm on 18 February 2021 and a second briefing will be held from 8:30am-9am on 20 February 2021.


5. Entry requirements – An armband will be issued when you sign on for your first shift. These are non-transferable and if lost/broken, will not be replaced. Please, don’t forget to sign off.


6. Values – Volunteers are required to wear a happy smile and a positive attitude at all times. If you have any concerns and/or complaints, please present them in writing to the Volunteer Coordinator.


7. Health and Safety – The Club takes pride in observing high standards of Occupational Health and Safety. You are required to comply with all the safety requirements associated with your volunteer position and support the OHS procedures. Please follow the instruction and direction of your Supervisor or Volunteer Coordinator at all times.


8. Contract – Volunteer contracts are applicable before, during and after the Festival.

  • You must be available to work up to an 8-hour shift. Minimum of 4-hour shifts are required.

  • You will be notified of the shift you are rostered to work before the Festival.

  • If you would like to volunteer for more hours or have an issue with the shift you’re allocated, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator.

  • Pre and Post Festival volunteering is crucial to the success of our Festival, so please consider one or both positions as an option.

  • Smoking is not allowed in the event grounds or while wearing your volunteer shirt.


9. Termination – No volunteer will be dismissed until the volunteer has the opportunity to discuss the reasons for dismissal with the Volunteer Coordinator. Final decision will be made once there is consultation with at least two coordinators/committee members. Possible grounds for dismissal include, but are not limited to, are the following:

  • Being under the influence of alcohol or drugs, before or during your shift

  • Theft.

  • Insubordination, abuse or mistreatment of festivalgoers, volunteers or management.

  • Failure to abide by Festival policies and procedures.

  • Failure to complete your shift as directed by your Volunteer Coordinator.

  • Disappear during allocated tasks.

  • Failing to turn up for allocated shift.

  • Smoking in the Music Park.
