Spotlight to Shine on West Australian Country Music Awards 2026

Updated: Aug 18

Are you a proud West Australian country music artist, songwriter, or band? Do you have a track, album, or performance that deserves to be heard, recognised, and celebrated? Then it’s time to throw your hat in the ring for the 2026 West Australian Country Music Awards (WACMAs), a celebration of the finest talent our state has to offer.

Now in its 39th year, the WACMAs are a highlight of the annual Boyup Brook Country Music Muster, offering recognition across a range of categories including Song of the Year (multiple genres), Emerging Artist, Group/Duo, Junior Vocalist of the Year, and the always-popular People’s Choice Award.

Winning, or even becoming a finalist, can elevate your career, grow your fanbase, and open doors to future opportunities. The WACMAs are judged by respected music industry professionals, meaning your work is seen and heard by influential figures in country music. Many past recipients have gone on to record deals, festival bookings, and gain national recognition.

Artists from all across Western Australia have been recognised over the years, proving that great country music knows no boundaries. The Kimberley region has produced incredible winners such as Adele Oliver, Chris Matthews, and John Bennett; from the Mid West and Gascoyne we’ve seen standout acts like the Henry & Renahl Band and Bradley Hall; the Pilbara brought us JoKeria and Highway 95; Lynn Hazelton has proudly represented the Goldfields; Darren Gillis has emerged from the Great Southern; and the Peel region is home to award-winning artist Sally Jane. Across the Perth Metro, artists such as Connie Kis Andersen, Terry Bennetts, Siobhan Cotchin, Jonny Reid and Charli Rose, and in the South West, talents like Mike Goodwin, Kate Hindle, Dave Kent, Codee-Lee and Ray Jones are just some of the many emerging and established artists who have made their mark through the WACMAs.

This rich diversity is what makes the WACMAs such a vital part of WA’s country music landscape.

All junior finalists will also be given the opportunity to perform as part of the Muster weekend, providing a valuable platform to showcase their talent live on stage.

Nominating is simple, and artists are encouraged to enter themselves or be nominated by fans and supporters. You can nominate across multiple categories – just one song per category, and it’s open to WA residents only.

Winners will be announced live during the 2026 Boyup Brook Country Music Muster.

Entries close Friday 15 August 2025.

Don’t miss your chance to be part of WA’s proud country music story. Submit your nomination, share your sound, and let your music do the talking.
