Born in a coastal town called Bowen in Queensland, Daisy grew up moving often, along the beautiful Queensland coast. Daisy comes from a blended family & is the eldest of 8 children. She spent her younger days visiting her grandparents on their peaceful farm in Bloomsbury & also enjoyed chilling out on Magnetic Island. Daisy’s high school years were spent in a small town called Gordonvale, surrounded by high mountains, sugarcane fields & beautiful creeks & rivers. Country music became a passion during those years.
Kasey Chambers, Dolly Parton & Johnny Cash were some of Daisy’s favourite artists to listen to whilst growing up. Daisy spent many days scribbling away, writing poetry & songs. She considers herself a songwriter & storyteller first, & a singer second.
In 2016, Daisy relocated to a city she now calls home, Perth, Western Australia. Daisy’s a wife & a mother of 2 young children. She gave up her hospital-based career to focus on her role as a homemaker. This allowed the time & space to pursue her creative gifts, which were previously tucked away.
Daisy mentions, “I wouldn't be doing any of this without the support, encouragement & guidance of my talented mentor & generous mate, Bill Chambers.”
Daisy Cotton is a newcomer to the Australian Country Music Scene. Her original music will break your heart & then mend it back together again with the purity of her sweet & soft country tones, whilst her lyrics carry depth & grit.
In November 2023, Daisy released her debut Country Album, Wildfires & Daisies. It contains 13 tracks, all co-written, recorded & produced with Bill Chambers & mastered by Jeff McCormack.
In February 2025, Daisy was a WACMA Finalist for Traditional/Heritage Song of the Year and Winner of Alt-Country Song of the Year. In August 2025, Daisy released her EP, Flowers.
