A little about us...
Some forward thinking people with a love of Country Music launched the Country Music Club of Boyup Brook WA Inc. Like many great ideas, the Club was born from a chat around a fire with friends, food and a few quiet drinks. Its inaugural meeting was in August 1979.
The Club is a catalyst for Country Music in WA and is recognised nationally. Our major activity is the Boyup Brook Country Music Festival, which was first held in 1986 and celebrated 35 years in 2020. The Festival incorporates: West Australian Country Music Awards, street carnival, concerts, workshops and WA’s biggest Bush Poets Breakfast.
The main venue is the Music Park with its 18m stage, sound shell and parkland, which was built with funding from government grants, the Club and the many hands of the committee, locals, builders and engineers.
The Festival is a major event for the Boyup Brook community and helps to enhance the vibrancy and vitality of our town and region. It allows the Club to celebrate our achievements, foster a sense of identity and belonging and stimulate our regional economy.
The Boyup Brook Country Music Festival is a relaxed, refreshingly authentic and fun weekend. The Festival brings the grass roots of the Country Music experience to its warmly received guests, blending big name and WA original artists in a friendly, country setting.
